If you are interested in a puppy, please tell me a little bit about yourself. I don’t have a set questionnaire, as I feel I learn more about prospective families from a more free-flowing conversation, but here are some questions I usually end up asking:
- Why do you want a beagle puppy?
- Have you ever owned a beagle before? If not, have you ever owned a dog before? Have you ever raised a puppy before?
- Do you live in an apartment, house, or some other arrangement? Do you have a yard? Is it securely fenced?
- Who lives in your household? Do you have children? Other pets? Who will be the primary caregiver of this puppy?
- What kinds of activities do you want to do with your beagle?
- What is your timeline for adding a beagle puppy to your family.
- If you have any specific preferences (color, sex…), please let me know.
- What else would you like me to know about you as a prospective home for one of my puppies?
I match puppies to families; I do not simply sell on a first-come, first served basis.
I charge $1400 for a puppy. This price is the same regardless of sex, color, or purpose, because all of my puppies get the same care and require the same amount of effort to raise. I do not take deposits until I am sure I have a puppy for you.
